MADRID TRIP
This year pupils in years 3 & 4 travelled to Spain (Madrid). The purpose of this trip was for pupils to experience both Madrid’s history and the sites which make Madrid the city it is today. After viewing the Plaza de la Cibeles (Fountain of Cibele) and the Plaza de la independencia, the pupils took a trip to the Royal Palace with its Armoury and its royal gardens. A visit to the world famous Real Madrid Stadium and a behind the scenes tour was next on the itinerary followed by a afternoon spent at the Madrid Zoo, which included attractions such as the Dolphin show, white tigers and the sharks. An educational trip through the El Prado museum with its famous Spanish paintings such as Velazquez and Goya was followed to the delight of the pupils by an afternoon spent shopping in El Corte Ingles. Certainly a whirlwind trip through Madrid but one which the pupils enjoyed immensely! |
